To the Editor: I am writing in regards of Sam Kittle’s article and the responses received so far.
First of all, to Mike Wallace, Sam is a FEMALE and a fabulous one at that. I had the pleasure of haivng class with her and I found her insights in her column to be something much needed on the Guilford campus.
Sex is something that everyone seems to love participating in as long as its on the hush hush but won’t take the time to talk about. So no, that ‘guy’ is not creepy because he indeed is a she, and honest.
Second of all, in columns such as these you are supposed to write about what you know. So to the mother who wrote in, Sam is a female and from what I gather, a heterosexual one, meaning that she is writing about what is familiar to her. So it might be difficult for her to gear her experiences towards homosexual relationships as you put it.
I used to write a column similar to hers in high school so I think Sam was bold and honest with her article.
My friends and I found it to be the most enjoyable article in the paper last week as we read it over lunch in the Underground and we would love for it to stay in The Guilfordian … KUDOS SAM!
