After dropping last week’s game against Randolph-Macon College, Guilford prepares for Saturday’s match-up against the Cardinals of Catholic University. Catholic, who has emerged as a conference threat this year, sits at second place in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) standings. The Cardinals are 7-1 on the year, and have posted a 3-1 record in the ODAC.
The Quakers enter the contest with a 4-4 overall record, and are 1-3 in ODAC play.
The Nov. 8 contest marks the Quakers’ final home game of 2008, and is part of the weekend-long homecoming festivities that include alumni events and campus entertainment.
In an added note, quarterback Josh Vogelbach is 98-yards shy of the career passing record. Vogelbach, a senior, has the opportunity to become Division III’s all-time leading passer in his final home game at Armfield Athletic Center.
