In the first senate meeting back from the break, we discussed the upcoming discussions for the senate meetings this semester. These discussions included how to improve academic affairs, community building, and the departments that deal with campus racism and campus sexual assault. We brainstormed ideas to improve these areas and will continue to brainstorm and discuss throughout the semester. Ideas were put forward to hold events to increase awareness of these ideas but there will be more brainstorming before anything is finalized. Lastly, we found out that the decision for what the senate will be funding hasn’t been decided yet but will be decided soon.
