Emily Lott To Leave Guilford
Assistant Director for Student Leadership and Engagement Emily Lott will be leaving Guilford College to take on a new role as assistant supervisor of special events for the recreation and parks department of the city of Burlington. She will be leaving after working at Guilford for over two and a half years. “I’m going to miss the people the most,” said Lott. “I came to Guilford not knowing anyone after moving from Michigan, and I immediately met an amazing group of people and staff on campus that I connected with.”
Catalytic Converter Theft
According to an email sent to students by Vice Present of Student Affairs and Dean of Students Todd Clark, there have recently been thefts of Catalytic Converters at Guilford College’s parking lots. In response to these thefts, Public Safety is working with the Greensboro Police Department and asking for help from the Guilford community in reporting suspicious activity. If you know more information about these thefts, contact Public Safety at 336-316-2909 or the Greensboro Police Department at 336-373-2909.
New Office Relocations
In early January, the Academic Dean’s office moved to Founders Hall, allowing for more integration between campus life and academic affairs. Previously, the office was located in King Hall. “It’s a bit early to say exactly what will happen to the King Hall suite, but our hope is to have the first floor of King Hall be the focus of our student leadership and engagement activities,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs and Academic Dean Beth Rushing in an email interview. According to staff sources, the registrar’s office will also merge with the student financial services.
