MTV is coming to Guilford!?!
That’s right, due to the lingering budget crisis and crippling financial pressures, Guilford College has agreed to let MTV record and broadcast the everyday lives of Guilford College staff and students for a new hit reality show.
Administrators also expect the 24/7 monitoring of the campus to solve the problem of students not wanting security cameras. After all, everyone wants the chance to be on TV.
Word has it that MTV will also be covering the board of trustee meetings, which I can only imagine will be a series of evil gatherings involving creative villain names and costumes.
I am particularly excited to see a behind-the-scenes look at what professors really do outside of class and the gossip going on throughout the staff.
Oh the drama, to see a teacher drop a simple piece of common knowledge and have a hater go, “What are your sources?”
I can only imagine that the ensuing citation fights will be on par with an episode of “Bad Girlz Club.”
If that won’t encourage you to tune in, just think of all the student drama. At such a small campus with a diverse set of students, there is bound to be some friction.
Plus, you get to see your classmates experience the crippling pressures of creating PowerPoint presentations, dealing with deadlines, partying and making drunken mistakes.
Can you honestly say that you wouldn’t want to watch that in HD?
This is probably the greatest thing Guilford has done since hiring Kanye West to be our president in 2020. Not only will we be swimming in cash, but it will make for some great television.
